Wow, such an easier method. The finished blocks look better without all the triangles in the “cards” that are apparent in the other methods. And a great tip for lining up those last seams when sewing the blocks on point. I too will subscribe.

Thank you for this advice. I'm praying that the surgery I'm having (next month on my left eye) will help me see colors better. I shouldn't have to borrow someone's child to help me pick colors. I can't control my hair today either. Sometimes just putting on a hat takes care of the problem.

I've been quilting for several years, but I can always learn something new. I like the idea of concentrating on the focal fabric, or "busiest" fabric, and pulling colors. Sometimes I don't put a lot of thought into color choice, I just use what looks good, but sometimes in the finished project, like you said, similar values end up together or some such. This was a good video!
